<p>Mary Sushila, a teacher with Goodwill Girls School in Frazer Town, had moved the High Court challenging the decision of the school authorities disallowing her to perform her duties after her appointment in June 1985. <br /><br />After a protracted legal battle, she approached the Supreme Court, which in March 2010 directed her to move the High Court again.<br /><br />According to the petitioner, her review petition before the High Court was listed for November 30, 2010, but Justice Sreedhar Rao dismissed it in his chamber. An aggrieved Sushila preferred a representation before the Chief Justice and Chief Justice of India seeking recall of the petition. <br /><br />A single judge, before whom the petition was posted, refused to hear it on the ground that he had been an advocate for the school. <br /><br />The matter was then posted before Justice Sreedhar Rao, who recused, stating: “Since the petitioner has made personal comments against me and has complained about me before the Chief Justice and Chief Justice of India, I feel that the matter should be heard by some other bench.”<br /><br />Notice ordered<br /><br />In another petition filed by Sushila against the school appointing another person in her place, Justice Abdul Nazeer ordered notice to the school management, the DDPI and others.<br /><br />The petitioner had claimed that the DDPI too had sought an explanation on appointing two persons to a single post.<br /></p>
