According to reliable sources, the Pune Warriors are likely to play all their home matches at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

According to the itinerary that has been released, Pune Warriors were supposed to play two home matches ---- on May 17 and May 19 against Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively. However now it is likely that even those two matches will be held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

"Look, the last two matches were supposed to be held in Pune at the newly constructed stadium since the work wouldn't be complete during the first phase of the tournament. But after playing five matches at the DY Patil Stadium, there will be logistic difficulty in shifting to Pune for the last two matches," an IPL official informed PTI today.

When asked whether the local public in Pune would miss IPL action, the source replied, "Coming to watch a match at DY Patil Stadium which is located in Nerul is easier from Pune than from proper Mumbai. It is a two and half hour drive from Pune where as from proper Mumbai it can take you more than three hours to reach the stadium."

The Pune Warriors will open their campaign in Navi Mumbai on April 10 against Kings XI Punjab followed by their matches against Team Kochi (April 13), vs Delhi Daredvils (April 17), vs Chennai Super Kings (April 27), vs Mumbai Indians (May 4).
