The protesters said that the prohibition imposed on witnessing the reservoir must be withdrawn in the wake of boosting tourism in the region.
The protest was lead by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike District President P K Jagadish who said that it is the lack of will power in the Department of Irrigation that such prohibitions have been imposed on tourists.
The protesters have given an ultimatum of 8 days for the authorities to take necessary steps in this regard.
Failing this they have warned of an intense protest in Kushalnagar soon.
Harangi Reservoir Executive Engineer Doddasiddhaiah accepted the memorandum.
