The incident occurred when the minister was travelling towards his house in Gokulam late in the night.
A car coming from the opposite direction on Adi Pampa road, violating one-way rule rammed into the official car of the minister.
The minister was rushed to a nearby hospital and was treated immediately. V V Puram traffic police have registered a case.
House wife robbed
A homemaker was relieved of her mangalsutra worth Rs 55,000 in the city on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Bhagya, wife of Shivarudraswamy, a resident of Vijayanagar first stage here.
The incident occurred when the woman accompanied by her husband returned home. They were unlocking the gate, when the three miscreants attacked them before snatching away the valuable.
Vijayanagar police have registered a case in this connection.
