JOIN USPUC: Girls excel in C'ballapur district
Out of the 13657 students who appeared for the exams, 5095 have passed. 43.05 per cent of boys, 46 per cent of girls have excelled in the exams. The pass percentage in the arts section is low with 32.87 per cent. The pass percent in the commerce division is 55.35 per cent and 57.57 in science section.
Chikkaballapur taluk has achieved 33.34 per cent. 3392 students appeared for the exams out of which 1131 have passed.
Chintamani taluk has achieved 41.76 per cent. 1644 students out of the 3936 who appeared for the exams have passed.
In Bagpalli taluk 472 (26.78 pc) have passed out of 1762 students. In Shidlghatta taluk, 457(35.59) have passed out of 1286 students. In Gowribidhanur taluk, 1300 (43.56) have passed out of 1300 students. In Gudibande taluk, 91(30.43) have passed out of 299 students. Lists of the colleges:

Rural students fared well in the exams. Kapilamma Composite College, Nadipinayakanahalli, in Shidlaghatta taluk have scored 77 per cent in the PUC examinations.
Secretary of the institution Satyanarayana has said that, out of the 21 students who attended the exams, 12 have secured first class. Swamy Vivekananda Composite College, Malluru, in Shidlaghatta taluk have secured 88.17 per cent in the examination.
The college have scored 92 per cent in science department, 87.5 in arts section and has registered 81 per cent in the commerce section.
Principal T M Chandrakumar has said, 19 students have gained distinction, 131 students first class and 31 students have passed in second class.
