JOIN USEight people were seriously injured in the accident. The victim is Meghana, daughter of Sridhar from Dasarahalli in Bangalore. Sridhar’s wife Gayathri, daughter Manasa, driver Nagaraju, besides passengers in the other car - Mohammed Hamid, Shabana Kouser, Suraina, Diya and Zamir (all from Shivajinagar in Bangalore) - are the injured.
They were administered first aid at the government hospital in the town and sent to Bangalore for further treatment.
The accident occurred at 4.30 pm, when the driver of the car in which Sridhar’s family was returning to Bangalore from their native, Sullia in Dakshina Kannada district, lost control of the vehicle.
The car climbed over the road median and collided with the car in which Hamid’s family was travelling. The family was on its way to Mysore.
The two cars were completely damaged in the accident.
