Thirteen participating schools had embarked on a month-long programme and went into slums, homes and hospitals and attempted to make a difference.
Of the 13 schools, 11 were shortlisted for the final. The runners up were: St Joseph’s Convent Girls’ High School (Rs 30,000); St Annes Girls’ High School (Rs 20,000) and St Aloysius Boys High School (Rs 10,000). The awards were presented by Lokayukta N Santhosh Hegde and ex-MP H T Sangliana.
