Superintendent of Police Mohit Agarwal said Jaikaran and his wife Pushpa were arrested from Suarsot area at Bihar-UP border.
Revolver, cartidges siezed
A revolver and four cartridges were seized from them. Jaikaran is the mastermind of the attack on Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) camp in Khoradeeh, Mirzapur in 2001 in which arms were looted, he said.
Cash prize
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had declared a cash prize of Rs one lakh, besides Rs 50,000 each by the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar governments on Jaikaran.
Pushpa also carries a cash reward of Rs 30,000. While Pushpa is wanted in six cases, 14 cases are pending against Jaikaran in Sonebhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli districts, the SP added.
