<p>MLA Sriramulu said on Saturday that preparations had begun to float a new political party in the State.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He was speaking to reporters after attending a programme organised to mark the death anniversary of G Rukminamma, mother of the Reddy brothers, on Saturday.<br /><br />He said preparations were in the final stages and the offices of the new party would be opened simultaneously in Bangalore and Bellary. <br /><br />The decision on the name for the new party will be taken only after discussing with Janardhana Reddy.<br /><br /> He said he would be touring the State after January 15, and visit all the 224 Assembly constituencies to build the party. Also, suitable candidates would be identified for the next elections. <br /><br />When asked if he would induct former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa into the party, Sriramulu quipped that his stature was not high enough to accomodate a heavyweight like Yeddyurappa.<br /><br />Candidates from the party would be contesting from all 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in the State, he added.<br /><br />Meanwhile, when MLA G Karunakara Reddy arrived to attend the programme, he said he was not aware of the new party to be floated by Sriramulu and clarified there was no question of him resigning from the BJP.</p>
