Yesteryear’s Bollywood actor, Sadhana Nayyar is once again embroiled in a controversy with the bungalow of which she is a tenant.

This time it is the magnetic songstress Asha Bhosle who has moved an application against her, seeking that an FIR should be registered against the husky-voiced heroine for barring entry into the bungalow's garden.

Sadhana, a tenant for the past 50 years of the bungalow nestling in the tree-lined Ramkrishna Mission Street of posh Santacruz-Khar, stays on the ground floor with actress Baby Naaz, staying too as a tenant on the first floor. The two-storeyed bungalow called “Sangeeta”, is owned by the versatile vocalist Asha Bhosle.

Talking to Deccan Herald, Santacruz Police Station duty officer Sub-Inspector Mane on Thursday said, “Last month we had received an application from the singer against the actor. But we have not registered any case as of now. There are legalities involved in the matter and we will have to consult our legal experts before we move ahead with the case. It is a civil matter.”

Though the sub-inspector refused to divulge the contents of the complaint, it is learnt that the singer has alleged that the 68-year-old actor who set screens on fire with her dance and coy demure gaze “is an encroacher”.

The application, further states that the actor, “has even gone to the extent of stopping entry into the bungalow's garden not only to me but also to my servants...she is tenant of the ground floor but that does not give her a tenancy power over the garden. The garden was never let out to her. It has always been in my possession.”

The bungalow has been in the eye of the storm for the past few years. A couple of years ago Sadhana had sought police help alleging that builder Yusuf Lakdawala who stays on the second floor was threatening her with dire consequences so that she vacates the ground floor as he has been eyeing the place.
