Students interested in higher education in Ireland can attend the forthcoming Education Ireland student recruitment fair, to be held in Bangalore on March 3 at Hotel Trident.

The fair, part of an all-India programme, will be conducted in tandem with other fairs in Delhi, Pune and Chennai. Irish Education officials said that although Ireland has long been an attractive destination for students from China, Europe and the Asean region, the inflow of Indian students has increased in recent years. “This was particularly evident in the fields of research and innovation,” they said.

In addition, Irish higher-education institutions (HIE) are also looking to build strong collaborative links with Indian higher-education institutions to encourage student exchange.

According to Education Ireland officials, the four fairs in the country will give Indian students who are currently completing their exams, an idea about the numerous scholarships which are on offer and  on the quality education they can expect.

As part of the fair, leading universities and HIE representatives from Ireland will emphasise scholarships, ease of visas, stay-back options, job security and other pertinent topics. Ireland has recently announced 12 Government of Ireland Scholarships for Indian students.

Some of the higher education institutions from Ireland participating at the Fairs will be:
Dublin Business School; Trinity College, Dublin; Dublin City University; University College, Cork; Dublin Institute of Technology; University College, Dublin; Griffith College, Dublin; University of Limerick; Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown; Waterford Institute of Technology; National College of Ireland; Limerick Institute of Technology; National University of Ireland, Maynooth; Cork Institute of Technology; NUI Galway Science Foundation Ireland (SFI); Institute of Technology, Carlow
