'Ex-subedar's info reached China'

Armed with information extracted from Subedar Madanmohan Pal, the defence ministry now knows that even though he was working for Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, the information ended up with its Chinese counterpart.

The mater has caused severe concern for the ministry as well as the Indian Army, with some details of its forces along the Line of Control in Kashmir revealed.

The retired subedar was arrested at Barrackpore near Kolkata on Wednesday while he was passing on information over the telephone. He has been sharing sensitive information like troop movements and operational details he gathered from his former colleagues.
