Addressing media, in the city, Kumaraswamy said, he will lead a two-wheeler rally of youth workers of the party under the banner ‘Yuva Chetana’, on January 29 at 8 am from Chamundi Hill, here, ahead of the youth convention of the party at Palace Grounds in Bangalore the same day. As many as 15,000 youth from Mysore district are expected to participate in the rally, while from Mandya it could be 25,000 and Ramnagar-15,000.

The rally is not just an electoral event, but also an answer to the BJP that claims that young denizens are awestruck by its prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

He admitted that Mysore and Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha seats are significant for the party. Though he made it clear that, if inevitable, both sitting legislators and former legislators will have to contest the polls (parliamentary elections), Kumaraswamy said, the list of candidates will be announced in February first week. He exuded confidence of winning at least 15 to 18 seats from the State.

Kumaraswamy said, “If the party gets more seats in the Lok Sabha, it will help ensure justice to the State that has been meted out injustice in most of the Central projects”.
