<p> The Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC) will soon come out with a list endorsing the candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.<br /><br /></p>.<p>This was made known by T V Mohandas Pai, B.PAC vice president, during an interaction with mediapersons on the sidelines of a symposium on leadership organised by Indus International School here on Saturday.<br /><br />Asked whether he would campaign for his former Infosys colleagues, Nandan Nikelani (contesting from Bangalore South constituency) and V Balakrishnan (Bangalore Central), he said: “We will endorse any candidate who meets the requirements set by B.PAC which includes candidates with a good public service record, absence of any criminal record and other such requirements that have been listed by B.PAC,” said Pai.<br /><br /> Former Karnataka Lokayukta, Santosh Hegde, who also spoke on the occasion, highlighted the rampant corruption in the country. From Rs 64 crore in the Bofors scandal to 1,86,000 crore in Coalgate, the country, according to him, will not be able to sustain the greed of those in power.<br /><br />Commenting on the visit of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal to the city, Hegde said: “I will not go and meet him, but if he comes visiting, I will welcome him. By resigning as Delhi CM, he lost a good opportunity in showing the people a different kind of governance,” he said.<br /><br />Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj, who spoke during the symposium, highlighted the need for the rich to make a bigger contribution to help the cause of education. Commenting on the Right to Education Act, he said: “Mere enactment of RTE does not mean that everyone will get basic education. RTE is becoming problematic by the day.”</p>
