Haryana knock KSCA XI out

Colts and President's XI make it to last-four stage

Haryana knock KSCA XI out

KSCA XI, consisting of Karnataka cream, failed to quialify for the semifinals of the KSCA all-India invitational K Thimmappaiah memorial tournament after an eight-wicket loss against Haryana CA here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on the fourth and final day.

KSCA, who had slipped to 73 for nine in 33 overs at stumps on the third day were bowled out for 91 as they set a target of 215.

Chasing such a target may have been tricky but the Haryana batsmen - led by Abhimanyu Khod (77 n.o.) and Sachin Rana (80 n.o.) – comfortably won the encounter by eight wickets to advance to the last-four stage.

However the other State teams -- KSCA Colts and KSCA President’s XI -- moved into semifinals.

While Colts, who drew Baroda CA in their final group match, take on Haryana, President’s XI will meet National Cricket Academy in the semifinal. Both matches will commence on August 7 at Alur grounds.
