Last Updated 21 December 2009, 15:42 IST

“Availing this facility, brokers could place orders from anywhere through their mobile phones,” said BSE Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ashish Chauhan.  Briefing reporters, Chauhan said BSE is likely to announce the facility in the next 10-15 days and expects it would enhance the accessibility of traders to the new platform, BSE StAR MF.  “We would also like to extend this facility to the investors,” said Chauhan.

BSE also plans to extend BSE brokers equity back office software — SPARK, which is developed by Marketplace Technologies, to brokers transacting in the StAR MF platform.
Meanwhile, UTI mutual fund joined BSE’s MF platform to offer 30 schemes, which include 92 International Securities Identification Number (ISINs).  A tripartite agreement was signed between BSE, UTI MF and ICCL (Indian Clearing Corporation Ltd.) at BSE here. With this, 10 fund houses are currently offering their schemes with a total of over 150 schemes. Ten more companies are expected to join in near future.
