<p>KPCC Working President D K Shivakumar, addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Monday, said that ministers in the cabinet themselves had expressed surprise on their phone calls being tapped. Vice Chairman of the Planning Board D H Shankarmurthy was also worried whether his phone calls were being tapped.<br /><br />“It seems that the CM does not have faith in his cabinet colleagues and partymen. The Intelligence staff will not keep a vigil on the ministers unless there is an instruction from their superiors. Vowing moral responsibility over the incident the CM should resign,” he said. <br /><br />He recalled that when there were reports of tapping calls in the past the then chief minister Ramakrishna Hegde had to resign owning moral responsibility. KPCC President R V Deshpande has come down heavily on the BJP government’s plan to celebrate its one-year completion in the office. “What is the point in celebrating, when there is no development,” he questioned.</p>
