JOIN USKPCC Working President D K Shivakumar, addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Monday, said that ministers in the cabinet themselves had expressed surprise on their phone calls being tapped. Vice Chairman of the Planning Board D H Shankarmurthy was also worried whether his phone calls were being tapped.
“It seems that the CM does not have faith in his cabinet colleagues and partymen. The Intelligence staff will not keep a vigil on the ministers unless there is an instruction from their superiors. Vowing moral responsibility over the incident the CM should resign,” he said.
He recalled that when there were reports of tapping calls in the past the then chief minister Ramakrishna Hegde had to resign owning moral responsibility. KPCC President R V Deshpande has come down heavily on the BJP government’s plan to celebrate its one-year completion in the office. “What is the point in celebrating, when there is no development,” he questioned.
