The IBM team, which started the survey at 3.30 pm, identified a region in front of the MSPL office as the reference point for the survey. In the next two to three days, the team will survey 865 acres of mining area belonging to MSPL and another 200 acres belonging to SB Minerals, and submit a report to the High Court.
MSPL had alleged that SB Minerals had encroached upon 40 to 50 acres of land belonging to them and had sought the High Court to intervene. Following this complaint, IBM’s Controller of Mines officials, Ramamohan and Selvan had started the survey. IBM Regional Controller M S Wagmore also took part in the survey.
