<p>OxyTech2k15’, a national-level students convention and techno-cultural fest, was organised by the students of MCA and ISE Departments of The Oxford College of Engineering. The two-day fest offered a surfeit of latest technologies for the students in the form of various events. <br /><br /></p>.<p>A total of 742 students from across 43 colleges from all over India participated with overwhelming enthusiasm and exhibited team spirit.<br /> The fest comprised enthralling events such as ‘Just A Minute’, ‘East Meets West’ (Group Dance), ‘Take One’ (Short Film), ‘Gully Cricket’, ‘Code Warriors’, ‘Online Treasure Hunt’, ‘Kurukshetra – NFS & CS’, ‘Web Weaver’, ‘Brain Scratch – IT Quiz’ and ‘Innovative App Challenges’.<br /><br />‘Gully Cricket’, ‘Kurukshetra’ and ‘Online Treasure Hunt’ attracted the maximum number of contestants. Students enjoyed the on-stage events – ‘East meets West’, ‘Brain Scratch’ and ‘Take-One’ to the fullest. Their cheers motivated the participants.<br /><br />‘App Challenge’ event was introduced for the first time, which provided a platform for the students to show their skills in developing mobile applications using the latest Android technology. It acted as a forum for participants to reveal their technical as well as extra-curricular talents.<br />Student Coordinator Mahesh, said, “The fest was a mega success as it was well-planned and organised. Students worked in harmony to bring laurels to this fest. Management and faculty members supported us in each and every endeavour, which helped us tackle hustle moments.”<br /><br />Every event was organised by a team of dedicated students. “I have attended about 50 such events, and this ‘OxyTech’ was amazing. It catered to bring out the talents of students in all possible dimensions,” elucidated Anu Shankar, a participant from Ponjesly College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu.<br /><br />Rajashekar from RV College of Engineering thanked the management, event coordinators and faculty members for organising such a well-managed fest. His team-mate Divya added that she would like to take part in this fest, in forth coming years as well. The fest also proved to be a platform for candidates from different parts of India to meet like-minded aspirants. </p>
