CM to allot MUDA sites to 516 beneficiaries on March 10

The sites developed by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) on Lalithadrinagar Layout (North) will be distributed among 516 beneficiaries on March 10.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will allot the sites to the people at a programme at 10 am. It may be mentioned that the site allotment programme was scheduled for March 6 (Tuesday). But, as the CM's tour programme was rescheduled, the event had to be postponed.

MUDA has developed 530 sites on the layout and except 14 sites under 'H' category, all the remaining sites, under other categories, will be allotted to the beneficiaries on the day. MUDA has developed 125 sites measuring 20X30 ft, 300 sites measuring 30X40 ft, 70 sites measuring 40X60 ft and 35 sites measuring 50X80 ft.

The MUDA has reserved 2% sites each to Other Backward Class (OBC) and physically challenged people, 6.55% to Scheduled Tribes and 16.20 % sites to Scheduled Castes. Similarly, 7.50 % and 5% sites are reserved for state government and Central government employees. While 7.75% sites are reserved for ex-servicemen, 50 % sites are reserved for general public. However, remaining 3% sites under H Category will be distributed to the achievers in various fields in the days to come.

Inauguration postponed

A slew of new projects worth Rs 295.25 crore and also laying of the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 176.52 crore, which were scheduled for Tuesday are being postponed to March 10. The inauguration of the new Trauma Care Unit, a new complex of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research on PKTB Sanatorium premises on KRS Road, Government Naturopathy and Yoga College building at Brindavan Layout and the new Nephro Urology Unit of K R Hospital will be held on March 10.

The CM will also unveil the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar, erected at a cost of Rs 5 crore, and inaugurate the 66/11 kW Gas Insulated Station (GIS) electricity sub-station at Saraswathipuram on March 10. Siddaramaiah will lay foundation stone for a Super Speciality Hospital, planned at a cost of Rs 168.52 crore on PKTB Sanatorium premises. Siddaramaiah will also launch road works worth Rs 8 crore.
