The Congress on Tuesday released a charge sheet of the irregularities and scams that have occurred in the BBMP during the BJP rule.
Addressing a joint press conference, five ministers from Bengaluru, including Bengaluru in-charge Minister Ramalinga Reddy, hit out at the BJP for all the irregularities.
“These are not baseless charges. The State government has gathered evidences to establish the irregularities. Appropriate action will be taken in the coming days to take the guilty to task,” Reddy said.
Though the party has listed 49 instances of irregularities, it has neither mentioned the name of any politician nor any BBMP official responsible for the acts.
The ministers said Bengaluru has acquired that tag of Garbage City due to incompetent leadership of the BJP. When asked why the charge sheet does not include the issue of seizure of BBMP files from Congress MLA Munirathna’s residence, the ministers said the case was under investigation by the Lokayukta.
