While Kaur brought Unblushed to light, which is two months old now, it was Sayani Gupta (Khanum from Margarita With a Straw) who inaugurated the show.<br /><br />Blush which is a women’s entertainment channel on YouTube, featuring videos of experts talking about beauty, lifestyle, fitness, health and anything a women would want to know about, has come out with UnBlush, which about the other idiosyncratic issues a women <br />may have.<br /><br />The short and crisp videos, are not more than seven minutes long and are full of <br />inspirational quotes, like Kaur’s, “We don’t learn from good times, we learn from bad times.”<br /><br />Kaur unapologetically speaks her mind in the video for the urban women to understand various aspects of feminism and also understand other socio-political structures a woman may be a part of.<br /><br />Gupta on the other hand recites Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou, saying, “I am flat chested… so what?”<br /><br />The poem becomes the theme of the entire video. These videos can be like a splash of cold water on face, when you arelosing self-confidence and hope.<br /><br />The actors are asked some patent questions on feminism, Section 377, being famous, body image and their films, and about the hard times, through which they have come out. And it is not interview style, but cinematically appealing and chatty.<br /><br />Akanksha Seda, channel director, Culture Machine, says, “#Unblushed is a neo-liberal feminist take on men, tampons, grey hair and everything else. Bringing the viewers some inspirational women like Sayani who have broken every single limitation of society and stood positively for themselves making them independent in all aspects. <br /><br />#Unblushed is not like the usual TV interviews where women sit all dolled up, sipping a coffee and talk animatedly. It is an effort to show the world that these powerful women don’t put any restrictions on themselves.”<br /><br />Seda told Metrolife that, it is not just actresses, they plan to work with, but could be any women who make for an inspirational story on empowerment.The third episode of the show, featuring Kalki Koechlin, will air in January.<br /></p>
