JOIN US The newly elected Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat members should strive to bring in transparency in administration, said MP Shobha Karandlaje.
She was speaking after felicitating the newly elected ZP and TP members from BJP here on Saturday.
“The previous BJP government had given additional funds for development works. The State government, however, has failed to take up drought relief work. The government has declared 135 taluks as drought-hit. In spite of the Union government releasing Rs 1,540 crore, the State government has failed to take up relief work,” the MP said.
BJP district president H C Kalmaradappa and others were present at the programme.
The 19 newly elected ZP members and 63 TP members were felicitated on the occasion.
