<p>Traders at Madiwala market have demanded the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to prepare a list of beneficiaries for the 440-shop market proposed to be built in Madiwala.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The traders said that a few of them were operating at Madiwala market for more than 50 years and they should be given priority while allotting shops in the new buildilng.<br /><br />The market, maintained by the BBMP, spreads over 1.2 sq km and has around 500 shops. They have submitted a memorandum to BBMP Commissioner Manjunath Prasad. The commissioner has promised the traders to look into their demands.<br /></p>
