<div align="justify">A special CBI court on Thursday praised Nripendra Misra, principal secretary to the prime minister, for performing his duties “with due diligence and confidence” while he was telecom secretary. <div align="justify"><br />“There is (was) a secretary Nripendra Misra who performed his duties with due diligence and confidence and never shied away from recording his views on the file,” Special CBI Judge O P Saini noted while discharging former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran and others from the Aircel-Maxis deal case. </div><div align="justify"><br />“The transfer of shares of Aircel Cellular Limited to Aircel Digilink India Limited was being recommended by lower-level officers, which was in violation of competition clause in the agreement,” the court noted.</div></div>
