JOIN US Online payments major PayPal on Friday announced the launch of Recharge, its six-week programme focused to help women technologists to get back to work after taking time off to explore their passions, develop interests and strengthen families, in Bengaluru.
This is the second leg of its second edition, with the first conference held in Chennai earlier this month. The company, which claims to have more than 1,000 applications this year, shortlisted 100 and 80 people for the Chennai and Bengaluru event, respectively. The pilot programme in 2016, received over 300 applications from women with work experience of at least five years, who had taken a career break. Of this, 75 were invited to an event that according to the company, helped them build their confidence, followed by a boot camp.
