Lajong stun Bagan

Lajong drew first blood through Seikhohao Tuboi in the ninth minute and then Kelechi Okoya doubled the scoreline in the 20th minute. Bagan reduced the margin through Surkumar Singh in the 37th minute.

But injury time goals from Niwan-O-Gatphoh (90+2’) and Anil Gurung (90+3’) sealed Bagan’s fate. With the win moved up to 12th place with 20 points while Bagan are in fifth with 25 points.

Meanwhile, Ranty Martins scored a goal in each half to guide Dempo to a 2-1 victory over JCT and remain on top at the Nehru Stadium.

Dempo took the lead in the 22nd minute through Martins. JCT restored parity through a penalty in the first minute of stoppage time of the first half which Baljit Sahni converted.
Dempo, scored the winner in the 82nd minute with Martins again scoring.

The win took Dempo to 35 points from 18 matches to remain five points clear of second-placed Mahindra United.

In another match, Mumbai FC continued to struggle for a win as their 18th round I-League derby clash against Air India ended in a goalless draw.
