Saneeth, Kriti enter semifinals

Top seed Saneeth DS prevailed over Suhas V in a hard-fought three-game encounter to enter the semifinals of the under-15 boys’ singles category in the Talent Hunt State-ranking Badminton tournament at the Accolades courts here on Monday.

After going down in the first game 13-21, Suhas managed to take the tie into the third game by winning the second 21-15.

Saneeth however got his act together to clinch the third game and tie 21-10.

In another quarters tie, Vishesh Sharmam brushed aside the challenge of Kishal Ganapathy 21-8, 21-19 to book his place in the last four.

In the girls’ draw, Kirti Bharadwaj of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports beat Arundathi N Muddhu 21-14, 21-14 to move into the semifinals.
