<p>A 30-year-old elephant that was being treated by veterinarians for the past three days died on Monday morning. The elephant was found struggling to stand on its feet on May 27.<br /><br />It was not able to consume food due to ulcer and had turned weak. The Forest department roped in a kumki elephant to help the ailing jumbo to stand, but the efforts proved futile.<br /><br />Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), Bandipur range, Anthony S Mariappa, and ACF, Hediyala range, K Paramesh visited the spot. The elephant was buried after post-mortem, said Anthony.</p>
