Udupi District In-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj, who is also Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports, has paid a fine for riding a two-wheeler without wearing helmet.
It is said that during a programme at Karje in Brahmavar on November 9, he rode a two-wheeler belonging to one of the party worker. However, he had not worn helmet during the ride.
The photograph went viral in social media with the people questioning the violation by the Minister. As soon as the minister learnt of it, he paid fine of Rs 100.
The issue of the minister paying the fine has been confirmed by the superintendent of police.
