Asia Pacific Car Rally Championship from Nov 24

Chikkamagaluru is all set to host Asia Pacific Car Rally Championship (APRC) and Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) from November 24 to 26, said rally in-charge Farooq Ahmmed.

Briefing media persons here, he said that the rally is being organised jointly by Coffee Day Globals and the Motor Sports Club of Chikkamagaluru. Super special rally will be held at Amber Valley School on November 24 at 4 pm. The rally will be held at Chatnahalli, Kamaragodu, Jageeramane, Chandrapura on November 25 and 26.

Six participants have registered for APRC, of whom three are Indians, one each from Sri Lanka, Norway and New Zealand while 36 persons have registered for INRC. For APMC, rallyists have to traverse 510.35-km while for INRC, the participants have to travel 192.86 km. Gaurav Gill, Stephen, Stig will be the attraction for APRC. To encourage talent from Chikkamagaluru, a 'Star of Chikkamagaluru' will be organised.
