With the Rajya Sabha returning the Finance Bill 2010, which contains the tax proposals for the current fiscal 2010-11, the final phase for completion of Parliamentary approval for the Budget was completed.
Earlier, replying to discussion on the Finance Bill Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee ruled out rolling back the recent hike in fuel prices. “I am sorry. It is not possible (to roll back) as the current situation is difficult,” he told the opposition members.
