Judicial Layout: Retd officer tenders apology

In his affidavit filed before the Court, H P Ramanjaneya, the retired employee facing civil contempt proceedings, said he had no intention of disobeying the orders of the court.

He has stated that he was presented with 42 sale deeds executed by Karnataka State Judicial Department Employees’ Housing Society president Shivalingaiah along with an authorisation letter signed by the latter.

He has contended that he discharged his official duty and registered the documents as there was no occasion to suspect signatures, and hence has not committed any offence.
