<p>The three lorries were fined Rs 4,76,550 in total for violating the rules. The lorries along with the stones are in the custody of Harohalli police station said deputy director Mines and Geology Department K Thimmappa. The lorries belongs to Bharat Granite Pvt Ltd and K P Leelavathi Granites, which are engaged in mining activities in Chamarajnagar. <br /><br />The companies had obtained permit to transport granite slabs of 8.9 sq mt in 9 lorries. However the lorries were found to carry more than 11 sq mt granite slabs and had changed the route and travelled through Satyagala check post and reached Malavalli.<br /><br />At Satyagala check post officials tried to stop the lorries but the drivers argued with them and managed to escape. <br /><br />Following instructions from the director of department 3 lorries were seized at Harohalli check post and 6 lorries at Mandya check post.</p>
