She took up movies as she found it adventurous and she’s loving every minute of it. Though she is on a mission to try out something new and different, one always gets to see the actress as the bubbly girl next door in most of her films.

A fact that has not bogged her down. “I like playing characters that are a lot like me, it’s far more easier to relate to. Moreover, my fans enjoy seeing me in young and bubbly roles. But I have also experimented in between with films like Manasaare, where I played a mentally disturbed girl, or Vaayuputra, where I essayed the role of a tomboy. I am surely open to experimenting,” says Aindrita.

Currently shooting for S Narayan’s Veera Parampara, Aindrita says that she will be once again seen in a bubbly and bold role. “I play a totally over-the-top bubbly and mischievous girl, who knows how to make things happen for her,” she says and adds, “One of the main reasons why I signed on the film was because of the cast. With Ambareesh sir and Sudeep as part of the team, I just couldn’t refuse the project.”

She will be working with director S Narayan for the first time. Aindrita says that he is different from what she thought he was. “I was told that he is a very strict person but on the sets I realised that he was really sweet, always joking around and he treated me like a kid,” she says. Even working with Sudeep, she says, has taught her a lot. “This is the first time I am paired opposite such a senior actor. He made me feel so comfortable and it was fun to hang around with him. We used to discuss a lot about films and I even learnt a lot about movie-making,” she says.

With just one more song to go, Aindrita says that if there was one incident she remembers from this film, it will be the shooting of her introduction song.

“It was a rain song, where I was completely drenched from morning to evening.  I have never shot in such extreme conditions before and I was scared that I will fall ill but luckily I am fine,” she says.

As for the future, Aindrita is taking one step at a time before she signs on anything else. Ask if there is any particular role she is looking forward to, she says, “Rather than wanting to do something that has already been done, I want to create a dream role for someone else.”
