TCS Quiz for school students on Sept 29

The competition will be held at the IMA hall at Kaloor, TCS said in a press release here.

The regional rounds of TCS IT Wiz this year was held In Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Pune, Kolkatta and Bhubaneswar. After Kochi, the event will also be held at Lucknow, Delhi and mumbai. About 200,000 students are expected to participate nationally.

The quiz is open to school students studying from class 8-12 (including PU students). There is no entry fee. Each institutions can send multiple teams (two members per team) to participate.

Entries have to be sent through the respective institutions on or before Sept 27 to TCS IT Wiz quiz coordinatory, Tejomaya, L&T Tech Park, Inofpark campus. Schools can also register online.

The regional round would be followed by National finals in December where the winning teams from the 12 Regional rounds would compete for TCS IT Wiz national chamption title.

The winners would be awarded laptops and runner would be rewarded with Netbooks. The six finalists will also receive an array of prizes from TCS ranging from backpacks, MP3 players, headphones, t-shirts, caps water sippers etc, the release added.
