It’s been a year of celebrity weddings and big releases. Metrolife didn’t miss any of that. Between the artistes busy schedule, we spoke to them and got the best scoop they had to give.

Here are some of the best tete-a-tete of 2018:

KGF created a lot of buzz towards the end of the year. Just before the release of the film, we spoke to Yash, the lead actor of the film, who said that he relates to the rebellious character because of what he has gone through in real life.

We also spoke to Srinidhi Shetty who plays the female lead in KGF opposite Yash. She shared about her life before films and of her role in the much-awaited Sandalwood film of the year.

Our reporter spoke to Vasishta Simha before the release of the film. He shed light on what the film was about and told Metrolife that he was excited to be a part of a film like this.

One of the reporters attended Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding reception which was held at The Leela Palace Bengaluru.

The headline caught the attention of many readers, making it one of the most trending stories of the year. With the couple's wedding being one of the most talked about weddings, Metrolife's crisp details and exclusivity of the narrative piece garnered a lot of readerships.

We also talked about how the power-couple moved away from the usual wedding trend to using only eco-friendly tableware for the Bengaluru reception. This story was picked up by websites like 'Yourstory' and 'popdiaries'.

Towards the end of the year, A R Rahman announced his One Heart tour and one of the stops was to Bengaluru.

We didn't miss the opportunity to interview MasterChef Australia's contestants, Sarah Todd and Ben Ungermann when they came to town.  

Sarah came to launch the Christmas edition of Swiffy Signature in association with Chai Point. She spoke about her Antares Restaurant and Beach Club in Goa and about her books.

During Echoes of Earth, Sid Sriram came to the city to perform. The young vocalist performed his songs from his latest album Entropy and Metrolife caught up with him. This was one of the most viewed stories on social media.


Badhaai Ho was one of the movies that surprised the box office. When it joined the Rs 100 crore club, Metrolife spoke to Amit Sharma, the director, about the success of the film. This interview was shared widely on social media pages.
