Miffed Sathyajith not to work for BJP in Dakshina Kannada

Peeved at being denied a ticket to contest from Mangaluru North Assembly constituency, BJP Backward Classes Morcha State secretary Sathyajith Surathkal has said that he will not work for the party in Dakshina Kannada.

He said that the party leaders had prevented him from filing his nomination.

However, the leaders have not given any assurances, he said.

Sathyajith Surathkal’s followers had urged him to contest as an Independent candidate.

The BJP leaders have been in consultation with him for the past three days and prevented him from filing his nomination on Tuesday.

He said, “The party leaders had promised to set right the injustice. However, they failed to contact me. I am hurt by the attitude of the leaders. I will not work for the BJP in Dakshina Kannada.”
