Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 | Some won, some lost: A look at popular faces across BJP, AAP and Congress

The BJP swept to power in the national capital after a gap of more than 26 years, trouncing the formidable challenge from the ruling AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal. AAP leaders Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Satyendar Jain lost their respective assembly seats, while BJP leader Parvesh Sahib Singh emerged as the giant-killer as he defeated former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. As some won and some lost in the electoral battle, here's a list of the most popular ones, who were either rewarded by the public or ended up biting the dust.

Atishi of AAP

AAP's Atishi won from Kalkaji against BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri.

Parvesh Verma of BJP

BJP's Parvesh Verma by a margin of 4,089 votes against former CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Kailash Gehlot of BJP

Former minister Kailash Gahlot who quit AAP months before the polls, won the Bijwasan seat for the BJP by 11,276 votes. 

Kapil Mishra of BJP

The Karawal Nagar was won by the BJP's Kapil Mishra. He defeated AAP's Manoj Kumar Tyagi's by 23,355 votes

Gopal Rai of AAP

AAP's Delhi convenor and minister in Delhi government Gopal Rai retained his Babarpur seat by a margin of 18,994 votes.

Arvind Kejriwal of AAP

The AAP supremo lost to BJP's Parvesh Verma by 4,089 votes

Manish Sisodia of AAP

Manish Sisodia lost to BJP's Tarvinder Singh Marwah by just 675 votes. 

Satyendar Jain of AAP

Jain lost to BJP's Karnail Singh by 20,998 votes.

Saurabh Bharadwaj of AAP

Saurabh Bharadwaj lost to BJP's Shikha Roy.

Sandeep Dikshit of Congress

Sandeep Dikshit finished third in New Delhi Assembly seat where BJP's Parvesh Sahib Verma defeated AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal. 

Ramesh Bidhuri of BJP

Ramesh Bidhuri lost to Atishi from Kalkaji.

Somnath Bharti of AAP

Somnath Bharti lost to BJP's Satish Upadhyay by 2131 votes
