Tollywood star Ram Charan will soon be seen alongside his father 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi in Acharya, one of the biggest films of his career. The Yevadu hero has a strong role in the biggie, which has piqued the curiosity of the fans with its teaser. 'Mr C' has wrapped up the latest schedule of the film. The star reportedly shot for nearly 20 days in Rajahmundry before heading off to Hyderabad.

Acharya has been directed by top filmmaker Koratala Siva and revolves around the journey of a 'saviour'. It is likely to have a commercial storyline with plenty of mass elements. The film was supposed to have Trisha as the leading lady but the 96 actor opted out due to 'creative differences'. Chiranjeevi later revealed that she said 'no' to his film as she wanted to work with noted director Mani Ratnam.

Kajal Aggarwal was soon roped in to star in the film. Acharya is likely to feature Pooja Hegde as Ram Charan's love interest. It is slated to hit the screens this August.

Charan, meanwhile, is working on the SS Rajamouli-directed magnum opus Rise Roar Revolt (RRR), which features Jr NTR as the parallel lead. The movie revolves around the fictional journey of two real-life freedom fighters--Alluri Seetharamaraju and Bheem-- and has a larger-than-life plot. It has a star-studded supporting cast that includes Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Thor actor Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran. It is slated to hit the screens in multiple languages on October 13.

Charan also has a movie with ace filmmaker Shankar in his kitty. The film is likely to be shot on a budget of Rs 150 crore and has an engaging storyline. The buzz is that actor Rashmika Mandanna will be seen playing the leading lady opposite the 'Mega Power Star' in the Dil Raju-backed film. This, however, is yet to be confirmed.
