<p>Faggan Singh Kulaste has been given the post of Minister of State in the Ministry of Steel in the 17th Lok Sabha under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.</p>.<p>He represents Mandla constituency of Madhya Pradesh.</p>.<p>Educated at Mandla College, Dr Hari Singh Gaur University, Sagar and Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), he received degrees for M.A., B.Ed. and LL.B.</p>.<p>He represented Mandla Lok Sabha seat from 1996 to 2009. After losing in 2009 to Basori Singh Masram of Congress, he was elected to Rajya Sabha. He regained the seat in 2014, defeating his Congress rival Omkar Markam.</p>.<p>In 1999, he became the Union Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs just for two months.</p>.<p>He became the Member of Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment and the Member of Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in May 2012.</p>.<p>He was appointed as Member, General Purposes Committee from 29 Jan 2015 to 5 July 2016.</p>.<p>From 5 July 2016 to 3 September 2017, he was the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.</p>.<p>The President appointed Narendra Modi as Prime Minister and administered the Oaths of Office and Secrecy to the Members of the Council of Ministers.
