Arnav, a man from Jharkhand was set to marry Ankita, a woman from Bihar, <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ranchi/out-cold-groom-faints-bride-walks-away-from-deogarh-wedding/articleshow/116446420.cms" rel="nofollow">as per</a> <em>The Times of India</em>. </p><p>While in traditional weddings, the groom's family is expected to bring the procession to the bride's place, here, the bride's family brought the procession to the groom's place. </p><p>As per the publication, the woman had already expressed concerns about this tradition beforehand. </p><p>All rituals proceeded as planned when the ceremony started. A local doctor was summoned and the man regained consciousness after over an hour and a half. </p><p>The woman, however, was concerned about the man's health and feared an underlying condition might have led to his fainting in the cold. She also questioned her family taking the procession to the groom's place, escalating matters. </p><p>Ankita then refused to carry on with the wedding, and the bride's family, upset, sought police intervention. However, cops could not resolve the dispute and convince the families to carry on with the wedding. </p>
