<p>Three members of a family were electrocuted when they came in contact with the high-tension line in their arecanut plantation in Bellipady village of Puttur taluk on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The police have identified the deceased as Babu Gowda, 57, an auto driver; his brother Sesappa alias Purandar Gowda, 42, a tipper driver, and their nephew Karthik Gowda, 20, a diploma student.<br /><br />The incident occurred when Babu Gowda was carrying an aluminium ladder to pluck arecanut flower. The ladder came in contact with the high-tension line and Babu Gowda died on the spot. Hearing his screams, Babu’s brother Purandar Gowda and nephew Karthik came to his rescue and they were also electrocuted. <br /></p>
