<p>Bengaluru: Bengaluru is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall this week. The city has been seeing light rain for the last two days.</p>.<p>According to the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rains will be accompanied by winds at a speed of 40–50 kmph.</p>.<p>At present, a monsoon trough at mean sea level passes through Sri Ganganagar, Bhiwani, Agra, Banda, Dehri, Purulia, Kolkata, and then east-southeastwards to the northeast Bay of Bengal. The offshore trough now runs from the south Gujarat to Karnataka coasts at mean sea level, the IMD said.</p>.<p>As a result of the prevailing weather conditions, the city will see generally cloudy conditions over the next few days. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 28 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.</p>.<p>Though Bengaluru was expected to receive more than normal monsoon rain, the city witnessed a deficit of rainfall in June owing to heavy pre-monsoon rains during May.</p>
