<p>Khayum, a resident of Chennai was arrested while he was trying to smuggle Ketamine, a general anaesthetic drug used on both animals and humans, and also as a rave party drug. Khayum was to board a flight to Jakarta and had tickets for travel from Bangalore on July 2 and a return ticket for July 4. <br /><br />The airlines officials who grew suspicious of Khayum informed the immigration officials. <br /><br />On conducting a thorough check, they found that Khayum was transporting a water heater which weighed more than it should. He had packed the Ketamine in the water heater. <br /><br />On interrogation Khayum said that his friend from Chennai wanted him to deliver the water heater to a person in Jakarta. <br /><br />He said his friend had instructed him to claim that the baggage contained plastic articles. Khayum has been handed over to the customs officials. <br /><br />According to customs officials, Khayum has been transporting several appliances to Jakarta regularly. It may be recalled that a person from Jakarta was arrested at the BIA for carrying drugs.</p>
