<p>Bengaluru: The police have booked a 30-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl in north Bengaluru, officials said on Monday. The incident occurred on Saturday.</p>.<p>The police said the victim is a 15-year-old girl studying in Class 9.</p>.<p>On Saturday, she quarrelled with her parents, who reside in the Rajajinagar police station limits, and left home.</p>.<p>Her parents approached the Rajajinagar police and lodged a missing person complaint. The police tracked down the girl and discovered that she had been sexually assaulted.</p>.<p>The suspect had allegedly lured her to a secluded spot in the Majestic area and committed the offence, a police officer said.</p>.<p>A case was registered under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).</p>.<p>“Since the offence occurred in the Majestic area, the case is being transferred to the Upparpet police station due to jurisdiction,” a police investigator told <span class="italic">DH</span>. “Further investigation will be carried out by them.”</p>
