<p>Bengaluru: An elderly woman died in an accident after a tipper lorry struck her while she was walking back home after offering prayers at a church on Friday.</p>.<p>The deceased, Mary Victoria, aged 83, sustained grievous injuries to her abdomen and was taken to the hospital for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries at 5.45 pm.</p>.<p>The accident occurred while she was walking back to her residence at Ramamurthy Nagar from the church, around 1.30 pm. While crossing the road at Richmond Road near Fatima Bakery, a tipper lorry reportedly hit her and ran over her. The lorry driver couldn’t see her as she emerged from a blind spot, the Ashoknagar Traffic Police reported. The police also said that the driver was not driving rashly.</p>.<p>A case has been registered and the driver has been taken into custody for further investigation.</p>
