Israel has sent medical aid to Druze in Syria's Sweida

Jerusalem: Israel sent urgent medical aid to the Druze community in Syria's Sweida, Israeli public broadcaster Kan said on Sunday, a step that was coordinated both with Washington and Syria.

On Saturday, the Israeli Health Ministry said it was preparing to send medical equipment and medicine to Sweida. Spokespeople for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Foreign Ministry and the military did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the Kan report.
