<p>The graduation ceremony and valedictory function of the SSLC and pre-university students of Goodwill Girls’ High School and Composite PU College was recently held on the institution premises. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The entire occasion was celebrated around the theme ‘Enrich’ — which was given with the need to promote social responsibility, and make each member of the graduation batch aware of the need to enrich themselves as well as society.<br /><br />The students rose to the occasion and flocked to the venue dressed in their very best. Decked in bold pink and blue saris, they presented a pretty picture.<br /><br /> The atmosphere during the ceremony was a blend of happiness and sorrow; happiness because the students felt a sense of accomplishment, and sorrow because they were at a stage where they had to bid adieu to their alma mater. <br /><br />The chief guest for the occasion was Reverend S Vasanth Kumar, a bishop with the Karnataka Central Diocese. He was impressed by the impeccable arrangements made, and congratulated the outgoing batch of students for all their successes. <br /><br />He also shared some inspiring anecdotes with the students, parents and faculty who had gathered at the ceremony.<br /><br />He advised the batch of students to honour and respect their parents, and laid special emphasis on the fact that their education would not stop here — rather, it was a continuous process and they would go on learning and absorbing throughout their lives. <br /><br />A lighter touch was introduced to the ceremony with the lively tunes of the school choir, which presented a medley of wonderful music on the occasion. A candle-lighting ceremony was also held, and was indeed a sight to behold — the entire arena was illuminated by the many candles that the students were holding.<br /></p>
