<p>A four-month-old baby boy was killed after he fell into a foundation pit on Seshadri Road near Anand Rao Circle on Monday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The boy was the son of Jyothi and Peddaraju, both construction workers from Andhra Pradesh.<br /><br />According to Upparpet Police, the couple moved to Bangalore 20 days ago in search of a job. They were employed at Sudarshan Kalyan Mantap where the construction of kitchen was taken up.<br /><br />The construction workers had dug up a nearly 10-foot pit for the foundation. Jyothi was sitting on the pit and was feeding her baby around 2.15 pm. The soil had become weak due to recent rains.<br /><br />T he portion where she was sitting caved in and the mother and the baby fell into the pit. The baby’s head hit a stone as he fell down, the police said. <br /><br />The workers rushed them to a nearby hospital where the baby succumbed to head injuries. Jyothi sustained minor injuries.<br /></p>
